Hello to all our friends and family .

 

Dear Friends,

As you know we started the Pat Hick Community Center building back in January. In the month of April our town's water supply has gotten so low they ration water and we were forced to stop bricklaying for 2 weeks.

I have just borrowed a 300 gallon used water tank to put in the back of my truck and have the men fill it each morning bucket by bucket from the lake!

 

 

Here are some pictures of Roberto installing the wooden slabs above the windows and doors.

Now we are ready for the wooden 15 foot roof beams. It is a slow process but anytime you want a creative building, it takes time.

June 4th is the planned dedication of the building whether we are ready or not which I doubt we will be.
Pat's husband Dr. Joe Hick will be coming down with his daughter Kim and sister in law Sue Allen.

Other missionaries who know the Hicks will be attending as well as the whole community! Should be a blast and we will keep you informed.
