Dear Friends,

I wanted to share an incredible act of provision from God to Tommy and I over this weekend.

We were coming back from Costa Rica on a bus that I knew would not make it in time to catch the last ferry to Ometepe island in Lake Nicaragua. Tommy and I prayed believing God would do a miracle and provide a boat somehow.

 

 

By 6:30pm we had arrived at the locked up gate to the docks and I asked the guard if there were any boats available. He told us the last one left an hour ago. We both stood there believing God was true to His word. After a while he turned and said to me,"perhaps you can catch a ride in the small panga coming with some gringos".

I laughed and told Tommy "that was the miracle boat coming for us!" These Americans had hired a small panga that was about 30 ft long, 3ft wide and no top, made of wood, no lights on it but had life preservers! As they pulled up we boarded and off we went into the rough seas of Lake Nicaragua with nothing but a flashlight and our faith in God.

I can tell you most folks would have been sea sick right off the bat but we huddled beneath our tarp and braved the lashing winds and water coming into the boat.

I thought to myself " what a wonderful God we serve that would plan such an adventure that a father and son would never forget!"

As we stepped off this panga we high fived and had a sort of skip in our step,.............knowing God does the impossible.
