I want to introduce a special man God has brought into our lives as a Bible teacher and good friend.

Josue is from Guatamala but has lived in Costa Rica 32 years with his wife and family. He has been using our classroom to teach, since February, the two year Bible course developed by my seasoned missionary friend LeRoy Curtis.

Our 16 local Ometepe pastors are enjoying this course and we are thankful that LeRoy is allowing us to use his inductive Bible study course he developed for rural pastors in Africa as a missionary there. His training school is still going strong in Kenya!

We want to duplicate that training school here and hope to see the same results among the local pastors. Those Kenya pastor's churches are growing!

Josue is a gifted teacher/pastor and RN! He comes to Ometepe every three months to teach this course.

A great opportunity is before Esther and I but we need your help and prayers to see it become a reality. Josue has shared his heart to LeRoy and I the love for Ometepe and the pastors there. His desire is to move to Ometepe with his wife and work with us full-time in the ministry!

He so wants to visit the pastors and their families, getting to know them on a more personal level. That's the kind of guy he is, outgoing, humble and down to earth. I want to tag alongside this man and learn all I can from him. I see myself growing spritually along with the pastors.

Josue being a nurse is an asset to us as we are hoping to one day soon have a small health clinic as this is a huge need in our community. He could run this clinic and work with the local Christian doctor we know.

Leaving his nursing job of 15 years in Costa Rica won't be easy but a must if he wants to work full time with us. This will also mean we need to come up with $600 a month by February 2009 to supplement his income.

Our present income from a few friends, family and churches is just enough to cover our present mercy ministry, construction and living expenses.
