These pics show our two day campout for 14 local pastors that Esther and I hosted along with seven members of my home church team of California.

The first day was our ¨fun day¨ and that it was! These pastors hardly get to have fun so we showed them games like water balloon throwing, egg on a spoon race as well as many other activities.They preach 3 to 4 times a week, go visit the sick, and tend their crops. Busy, busy, busy. We wanted to bless them by creating a time of fun games and fellowship. They had a blast and afterwards that night all of us enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs around a campfire, dessert was smoors!

Tents and a real Teepee were ready for them to sleep over and the next day at 8 AM, a Bible course began at our classroom. This is a two year program to help give these rural pastors, of which most have no formal training, the teaching and materials they need to be better preachers of the Bible.

A fellow seasoned missionary came over from Costa Rica to teach this course. LeRoy Curtis developed this teaching course while a missionary in Kenya, Africa. His Bible college is still going in Kenya. I met LeRoy last year and we really hit it off. One of the things he loves to see is pastors better equiped to preach and know what the Bible says.

He is commited to helping us bless these local pastors of Ometepe with this course material as well as teaching it with the help of a Latin pastor who translates.

The pastors were so impressed with this high quality Bible course they can´t wait for the next class. It was a great to have our home church to help kick off this major event.
