Our sewing class just completed a course on how to make handbags. It was taught in 2 days by a group from the States.

This team also brought a new sewing machine and a bunch of new materials so looks like the class has enough fabric to last into 2010! The girls loved learning to make these beautiful bags and they got to keep them.

Our class teacher is my pastor Nahum's daughter, Denelis whom we sent to a sewing vocational school class on the island 2 years ago. She has her certificate and really enjoys teaching.

This class teaches and important skill as the girls can design and make all sorts of clothes.
