The cold winter winds are howling through your neighborhoods as "the hawk is out"!

Here on warm, sunny Ometepe island we enjoy eternal summer with 85 degree days and lake water almost as warm.

Now that should warm you up enough to read on about some exciting developments.

 

Summer flowers and home

First I have to share with you about Fransisca's kids. Eight of them, along with a friend, received a complete outfit and spare to attend school. Thanks to pastor Jerry and Nancy visiting us from Rio Dell, California.

The kids are starting the new school year February 3rd! You can see in the photo how cute they are. Only $30 each, what a bargain!

By the way these shots show the progress on Fransisca's house as the bedroom walls are going up fast! The outhouse hole is ready for the walls around it as you can see.

You may be thinking what ever happened to the Vocational school project. Lance is still helping me paint it but only part time as he is helping lay bricks on the house.

We have some really great news to share about the school. Jeselda, whom we helped get her degree at a private college in Managua, has agreed to teach our computer classes come the end of March!

Her parents live just around the corner from us.This is such a blessing as we were praying about how this post would be filled.
