Here are some photos of the beginning of a God flood. I know you don't see water but it's there all right, invisable to the clothed eye but just as real, ha,ha,..............

God provided the funds to purchase the 4 acre lot bordering us which runs down to the main road. This has been a worry for us as it could have been sold to a pig farmer (we are down wind) or worse yet a disco/bar! The owner contacted me alone and we know that was a God thing. She is delighted to know her dream lot will now be used to bless many communities. Thank you Margot!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a desire and dream to create and build a special ministry area with half of this lot, down next to the road as that means easy access to the community. Our first of many planned buildings is a "specialist" clinic. I met with the regional Minsa (Federal health agency) directors as they alone have the authority to grant you a "green light" to move ahead in the medical fields. Their main topic was a serious need of the whole island the govenment could not respond to for lack of funding, this is where non-profit org.'s come to the aid of agency's like Minsa. Most Minsa and private clinics around the island must refer local pregnant women to the mainland for ultasound testing and to consult with a OBGYN.

Some of these very poor women can't afford the $15 roundtrip costs and go without much needed help till it's a matter of life and death. Our ministry would bring the specialist from the mainland to our clinic 2 or 3 times a month and would attend to many women, possibly saving lives and preventing serious complications. The ultrasound equipment will be used during checkups as well as our small lab processing blood samples and other body fluids. A small pharmacy will meet the needs of the specialist. Another possibility is a much needed childrens Doctor also plans are to have one come 2 times a month.

You might be scratching your head wondering why "Island Breeze" ministry is heading into the medical field. Helping meet the needs of a community is part of what God is about as we read about the many miracles Jesus did to reach the lost and hurting. The idea is to do the same through this much needed specialized clinic.

A good friend of ours who passed away last year fighting cancer loved Ometepe and served in many medical teams here. Our clinic will be called The Pat Hick clinic in honor of her. A special "clinic fund" has been set up with our mission if you would like to make a special donation toward this clinic, just contact CTEN, our mission agency, and we soooooooooooooo thank you!

	A Minsa approved architect and engineer will work with us to create plans, then approved by Minsa, of a 2 story building following our desires to keep to the current "Southwest" look we have for any new building going up. This architecture style is so beautiful and rustic with lots of wood beams, spanish tile roofs etc,...........(see our web photos of the current ministry building we have built so far) Upstairs will be a 2 bedroom apt. for visiting Dr.'s and nurses with a nice view of the volcano!
After much red tape we are hoping a possible start date is in 6 months, Lord willing. Meanwhile we continue to buy local handmade bricks by the thousands.
	Soon the rains begin which will shut down the brick making process as rains destroy freshly made adobe bricks layed out in the sun to dry. Island Breeze ministry has a desire and dream to better reach out and serve the community in the name of Jesus, our best example of a humble servant. Our current Vocational Center has ongoing sewing classes and soon computer classes, a much awaited and anticipated addition. These new developments can't be realized without the help of our God and the local community. Together nothing is impossible and as I like to say "it doesn't cost anything to dream" and who knows,....................
